AI feels like a big topic right now, especially for small business owners who already have a lot on their plates! But here’s the good news: it doesn’t have to be overwhelming, and you don’t need to know every tool or understand every update. You can start simple (but you just need to start!).

Remember that AI isn’t replacing you; it’s supporting you. And it can actually make your marketing feel a lot easier! This blog is sharing a few simple AI tips for small businesses, even if you consider yourself “non-techy.”

Use AI to brainstorm content ideas

If content planning has ever made you want to toss your computer out a second story window.. I get it! That changed for me though when I started using AI for support. AI can help you generate ideas that match your voice and brand. You can use tools like ChatGPT to brainstorm topics for Instagram posts, email newsletters, reel scripts, podcast episodes, and more.

A simple prompt like: “Review my brand voice and create 10 scroll-stopping hooks I can use across reels, carousels, or emails next month” …can save you hours.

Use AI to repurpose your existing content

Have a blog post you love? AI can turn it into three carousels posts, an email draft, or a reel script.

This is where AI shines: helping you stretch the content you’ve already created!

Use AI with your brand photos and videos

Your visuals make AI-generated content feel personal and polished. You can use your photos and videos to:

        • create graphics or posts in Canva
        • build video scripts that match your style
        • generate captions that pair with images
        • refresh your website with new messaging

When your visuals already reflect your personality, AI simply fills in the words around them.

        Use AI to write faster

Think of AI as a helpful assistant (but not the final voice). Let it help you get a messy first draft onto the page, then refine it into something that sounds like you.

          Keep things simple

You don’t need to try every new tool. Start with one platform (like ChatGPT!) and build from there. The goal isn’t to replace your creativity… it’s to support it.

If you’re wanting to show up more consistently in 2026, AI can help your marketing feel lighter and less stressful.
